Washed by the Highest Servant

Washed by the Highest Servant

I was just thinking about the Last Supper in John 13. Jesus getting up from His seat and getting the basin of water and towel and kneeling down to wash the disciples' feet. It was the norm, the everyday custom, for what servants were supposed to do when a guest entered another's home  - wash the dust off the feet.

Can you imagine what the disciples must have been feeling in that moment? Imagine being Peter. Jesus comes to you to wash your feet. What?!  Wash my feet?? This is Jesus! You have followed Him for three years. You have been soaked for three years in the most revolutionary teachings. You have witnessed Him heal blind, crippled, paralyzed, diseased people. You've seen broken people's lives changed. Demons cast out. 5000 men fed with a boy's lunch - two fish and five barley loaves. At the command, "Come," from Jesus, you walked on water...think about that.

Come on, Jesus! YOU? Wash my feet!??? You were there with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. You heard the actual voice of God, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Wash my feet! How crazy does that sound? Jesus assuming the role of a servant ... washing my nasty, sandal- wearing, dirt road-covered feet.

Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered
him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me." John 13:8.

Wow! "No part with Me." That will stop you cold and make you think. We all need Jesus to clean us. Back up to verse 6. Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, "Lord, are You washing my  feet?"  Jesus answered and said to him, "What I am
doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this."

How many times do we find ourselves in this very place. Things look wrong, out of place...this isn't the way it is supposed to be. It's out of the natural order. "Lord, are You washing my feet?"... Are You working in this area of my life? This trial, these circumstances...are You washing me? It's one thing to have Jesus come with a towel and a basin of water and wash me. But to mess with my life? I don't really want this. I just want to do my thing. It's not that big a deal...not really. I'm with
You, Lord, but let me alone in this area or that. Not my feet, Lord.

It won't be a towel, nor a basin of water that He will use to cleanse your life. What is the Lord using to cleanse you? Take a deep look at the things in your life. Ask Jesus to show you the towel and basin He is using for you. It will be people, circumstances, issues...the things of life. Jesus' goal is not to take these things and use against you; but to release you from what you don't see as binding, into what He knows is for your best.

Psalm 138:8 puts it so wonderfully, "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands."

Sometimes things don't look right, they look crazy. But, trust the  Lord. He knows the plans He has for you. "Plans of good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Put your faith and trust in Jesus and follow His leading.

Open and closed doors. "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this."

After what?

After you stop surrendering to the circumstances and surrender to the Lord of them.

John 13:9 -- Peter said to Him, "Lord, not just my feet only, but also my hands
and my head!"

It's about total surrender. It's about wanting Jesus so much in every part of your life, every fiber of your being that you cry out to Him: "All of me! Lord, all of me, all that I am - make it yours!"

He wants to you know Him totally.  That's why after He washed the disciples' feet (even Judas!), He offered the bread and wine that symbolized His own body and blood - the body nailed to the cross, the blood shed to cleanse all of us from sin.

He surrendered all for us...can we surrender all for Him?

It's our choice.

In Christ's Love,
Weylin

Keep your eye on the Eastern sky!
For as the lightning come out of the east, and shine even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:27

Two Sisters

There two elderly sisters in the local church and had been members of the church all of their lives. One of them lived on a farm, which had a large acreage and in the past it had been very productive. The other sister lived in a modest condo, which she kept immaculately clean.

The sister on the farm was widowed and had lived a hard life. She was weary and very needy. She didn't go out much and as the years sped past, she almost became a recluse. Her sister, on the other hand, was very outgoing, had a wonderful husband, and a lot of joy in her life.

To look at both of them, you wouldn't think they came from the same home, but they did. In fact, they were both brought up on the same farm. When their father died, they were due to equally inherit the family farm, but one of the sisters managed to get her father sign over ownership to both her and her husband before her dad died.

The other sister was left with nothing, and so she quit the farm and went to live in public housing in the nearby town. Throughout her life, she didn't have very much financially, but the riches of her life were a loving husband, great children, and a joyful disposition.

On the other hand, her sister had all the riches of the farm, which she and her husband squandered over the years. She ended up with a bad marriage, estranged children, and a guilty conscience for the rest of her days. The beautiful thing is that in her last few years of sickness, her loving sister visited her and cared for her each day on the farm. One was rich and had lived a lie. The other was poor, but showed unfailing love.

Every day we make choices and decisions: the question we must ask ourselves is this - are we only choosing to fulfill our desires and deceive ourselves, or are we willing to share our blessings and show unfailing love?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we all suffer injustice in our lives, and trouble never seems far away. Sometimes we bring this on ourselves because of greed, insecurity or ambition. Help us to remain true to You in all that we seek to do this day. Keep us free from guile and deception. Enable us to show compassion and care, even to those who hurt and disappoint us. In Your Holy name, we pray. Amen.

What the Enemy Says About Jesus

It is common to hear various non-biblical statements about the person and work of Jesus Christ. For example, "Jesus was just a man, not God" or "Jesus is only a teacher or prophet" or "Jesus' death was unfortunate, but didn't accomplish anything." Jesus claimed that he was God and that he came to seek and save the lost by conquering Satan, hell, death, evil, and sin. A few of his followers got that, but all of the demons that speak in the Gospels seem to understand this...and they shudder (James 2:19).

So, what do demons think of Jesus?

It is interested to see what the enemies of Jesus Christ, the demons, thought and said about him. It's generally not a good rule of thumb to get your theology from demons, but in this case it is fascinating because what they say repeats what the rest of the Bible proclaims about who Jesus Christ is and what his life, death, and resurrection mean for us. The demons in the Gospels have better teachings about Jesus than some preachers with their weak doctrines of Christ!

"What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?"—Matthew 8:29

"What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God."—Mark 1:24, Luke 4:34

"You are the Son of God."—Mark 3:11

"You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.—Luke 4:41

Jesus Casting out Demons
"What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me."—Luke 8:28, Mark 5:7

Prior to the demons' proclaiming their beliefs about Jesus is His command over them. In each of the passages, the demons are not even permitted to voice their beliefs without the permission of Jesus, the sovereign God. When they are permitted to speak, they acknowledge His cultural identity, His divinity, and His power over their each and every move. They acknowledge Him as Lord, Son of God, the Holy One of God—and they shudder before Him. The demons know that Jesus has come to earth from heaven to judge them (Rev 19:15), destroy the kingdom of darkness (Gen 3:15, Rom 16:20), disarm the demonic order (Col 2:15), and set captives free from sin and death (Rom 6:23, Rom 8:2). Calling Him "Son of God" is a clear declaration of Jesus' divinity (Matt 26:63-64; John 5:17); 10:33-36), and the phrase "Holy One of God" is never used to describe anyone but God (Jeremiah 50:29; Isaiah 30:11).

So why did I share all of this? Because we, His children, should not allow ourselves to become fearful of this world. Demons are fallen angels. They FELL from heaven by Christ's power. They are defeated. So do fear the things of this world. Trust in Jesus Christ. Believe in Him - but unlike the demons who believed yet trembled in fear - believe in Him and tremble with joy.

God Being Judged

From the manger to the cross, the life of Jesus was a call to self-surrender and to fellowship in suffering.

Jesus came with the truths of heaven and all who listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit are drawn to Him. The worshipers of self belong to Satan's kingdom. The worshipers of Jesus belong to His kingdom. In their attitude towards Jesus, all will show on which side they stand - and thus everyone passes judgment on themselves. God does not pass the judgment. He is actually being judged because of the lies of Satan. And that's why everyone will stand before the universe.
In the day of judgment, every lost soul will understand the nature of their own rejection of truth. The Cross will be presented, and its true bearing will be seen by every mind that has been blinded by selfishness and indulgence of sin. Before the vision of Calvary with its divine Victim, sinners will stand in self-condemnation. Every lying excuse will be swept away. Human apostasy will appear in all of its terrible character. All will see what their choice has been - their choice. No excuses and no one to blame. Every question of good and evil, of truth and error will be made clear. All answers will be seen and explained. All has been recorded by the angels of God from the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden until the last conflict on earth of the last generation.
Thus, in the judgment of the universe - the worlds that have been witnessing the war between Christ and Satan, between righteous and the wicked - GOD will be found clear of blame for the existence and continuance of evil. It will be shown that the divine decrees of God that directed the actions of men and angels were just and had a purpose. All will see that there is no defect in God's governance; no reason for rebellion.
When the thoughts of all hearts and minds are revealed, both the loyal and the rebellious - including Satan - will have to declare, "Just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints. Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? ... For Thy judgments are made manifest." Revelation 15:3,4
"...that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord..." Philippians 2:10,11

Rant!

Went on a rant earlier to someone: thought I'd just post it here too.
I wrote it because I've watched the talking heads on a couple of networks (Fox and MSNBC - just to see the VAST different viewpoints) and realized THEY are all being politically correct!

So...my rant.

I want a President who is not afraid to stand up and look the world leaders in the eye and say:
"We're not taking anymore of your crap. Middle East, wake up to this reality: Israel is our ally and we will not abandon them.

North Korea, one more missile in the air, nuclear powered or not, and the one city that has electrical power - your capital - will be gone. Wiped off the face of the earth.

China, go ahead and build your Navy. Ours will get even bigger. I'm not playing with you. You will NOT take over the South China Sea or the west Pacific basin. Never. The sea lanes will always remain open.

Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, I put you all in the same category - you are not our allies. If you even act like you're going to go militant on us, I give you my word that you will no longer exist as livable countries.

The rest of the Arab world - if you really say you are moderate Muslims and are against extremists - I want you to go on record, denounce them and then help us wipe them out. Otherwise - you can forget any help from us financially - and that means we won't buy anymore oil from you because I am going to lift any moratoriums on off-shore drilling, the Montana-Dakotas field and Alaska. We don't NEED your oil.

Oh, and Brazil - as of right now, the money we've sent to you for offshore drilling, I want it back.

Europe, you keep pulling this Euro-money scam stuff and you're going to find yourself wondering why you're hungry because I'll block our agricultural goods going to your markets.

Mexico, the border is closed. You get the gang problem fixed down there. As far as I'm concerned, anyone comes across that border is a potential gang member/terrorist and will be treated accordingly.

Canada - got no problems with you. In fact, let's work on being better neighbors, okay? Because, quite frankly, we're probably the strongest bastions of true Democratic Republic governments in the world.

And America...I'm cleaning house. There's people working in the federal government that are just collecting a fat check and not producing. These people need to be evaluated and if they're deadbeats - they're out the door. If they're of age to retire, then I'll let them. I'm going to go through each cabinet office and see which departments we really need and get rid of the ones that aren't.

Monies going overseas to countries that are not our allies - and in fact, are avowed enemies - that money flow will STOP IMMEDIATELY. And some countries that are our allies - well, if you're not contributing and basically just a deadbeat - the money stops going to you as well. The status of all countries will be evaluated and I'll act according to those findings.

We WILL have a Constitutional Amendment that calls for a balanced budget. We WILL have a Constitutional Amendment that ensures that lawmakers in Washington, D.C. will NOT have a health plan or retirement plan that's exclusive only for them. They WILL create plans that works for everyone and that includes them. There will be no more elitism of Congress over fellow Americans.

Another Constitutional Amendment I'll support is one that says any man or woman that wants to run for President of the United States will have served in the military, any branch, for at least 4 years and have an honorable discharge. How can you be a Commander-in-Chief of the greatest military in the world and have not served? It makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm going to have legal and medical experts go through Obamacare and give me the straight facts about it. If it really is going to cost America more and cause more financial hardship - it's gone. Period. Then we'll get to work on tort reform. And also look into the outrageous cost of prescription drugs and those hospital bills where a roll of toilet paper costs $50. That's robbery and I'll have the FBI and Justice Department investigate these hospitals and pharmaceutical companies AND the insurance companies.

Military - we're NOT going to become 2nd-class to anyone. Yeah, things are expensive but we'll get it worked out. Contractors that create weapons, aircraft and ships - your contracts and status of work being done will be gone over with a fine-tooth comb and if you're defrauding the American people, you will pay.

About gays in the military. You're all out of the closet now. Too late to shut the door. But listen up - if you stand up and declare that you're gay, for no apparent reason except to cause dissent in the ranks - you're gone. Keep it to yourself, don't be acting romantic in the workplace, wear your uniform, serve your country and do your private things where it should be done - in private. That said, there will be no witch-hunting for gays in the military either. The UCMJ will be enforced accordingly. Rank will not be an issue. You break the UCMJ, you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Also - I will push for a Constitutional amendment stating that marriage is between a man and woman. Period. American men and women make babies - those babies will become adult American citizens. That's just a basic, biological fact. Men and men can't create life, women and women can't create life. It's an impossibility. You want to live that lifestyle - that's your choice and you have the right to live it but don't expect to be able to get married in the U.S.A. as husband/man and wife/man. Or whatever. And to let you know - you aren't special and better than the rest of us - I don't care what Rosie O'Donnell thinks.

And, so help me God - if any federal, state or city facility or post office or courthouse wants to put a Nativity scene out in the front yard, then do it. It's freedom of expression and in no way does it mean that the U.S. Government is endorsing a religion over the people. It's Americans working in the U.S. Government that just want to express themselves at Christmas time. If Jewish people want to erect a lit up Star of David, have at it. And if you're an athiest or agnostic - don't look at it. Nobody's persecuting YOU so quit using the court system to persecute Christians. The majority of Americans just want to live life without conflict and litigation over how they want to celebrate Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter...if Muslims can worship the entire month of Ramadan and pray to Mecca 5 times a day and no one gets after them about it (mostly because we're afraid of offending them) then by GOD, Christians should be able to worship God publicly too. How come no one cares if Christians are offended?

It may seem I'm off- subject but I'm really not. Go look at our Congressional and Supreme Court buildings. The word GOD is all over the place; Statues of Moses and the Ten Commandments are all over the place too. Anyone that says we aren't a nation blessed of God is not living in reality. Period.

We've got a lot of things to work on - illegal immigration, entitlement programs (welfare, food stamps, etc), education, budget, national debt...we can fix them but we need to quit punishing the American businessman/woman with exorbitant taxes and miles of regulations and red tape. Time to overhaul the system and clean house. Let's break off the shackles of government put on the free enterprise system.

Oh, and unions - don't even think about telling ME, the President, what I can and cannot do. There's precedent for shutting your asses down - Ronald Reagan did it in the 1980s with the air-traffic controllers and I WILL shut you down too. No more lawsuits to keep companies from building products because they don't have a union in them. I'm watching you. Step out of line, and you'll find out just how swift justice will come your way. I'm talking audits of your books and your connections with criminal organizations.

And lastly, our military Veterans. You signed a contract with the American people. You stood up and gave an oath to defend their lives and the Constitution, even if it meant sacrificing your own life. Some of you did and came home in boxes. Those of you that served and received an honorable discharge - you kept your part of the contract and I'll see to it that this Government of the People, by the People and for the People will keep its end of the bargain. Your retirement and medical benefits will NOT be lessened. In fact, I'm going to go look at the last few years of "revisions" and REVISE those! In other words, I'm going to get it fixed. I mean it.

Okay, America, speech is done. I'm getting to work.

Oh, and I carry my own firearm and my Bible. God bless America."

The Lord of the Dance

The Lord of the Dance
“I danced in the morning when the world was begun
I danced in the moon, the stars and the sun
I danced down from Heaven and I danced on the Earth
At Bethlehem I had my birth.

I danced for the scribe and the Pharisee
They would not dance; they would not follow me
So I danced for the fisherman, for James and John
They came with me and the dance went on.

I danced on the Sabbath and I cured the lame
The holy people said it was a shame
So they whipped, they stripped, they hung me high
And they left me on the cross to die.

I danced on a Friday, when the sky turned black
It's hard to dance with the Devil on your back
Oh they buried my body, they thought I'd be gone
But I and the dance still go on.

They cut me down, but I leapt on high
I am the light that will never, never die
But I'll live in you if you'll live in me
I am the Lord of the Dance,” said He.

“Dance, then, wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the Dance,” said He
“And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be
And I'll lead you all in the dance,” said He.

A Reboot - Or a Re-Look

I have realized this has not been a real blog. More of a one-way lecture without much of a personal story to it. Rather bare. Not that I think sharing thoughts about God to be "bare" or not of note - far from it. But I also know human nature. Some people live to read about God, they love God to that deep to an extent. Most people like to read someone's thoughts on God but they get bored. So, to keep people's interest - I'm just gonna change how I share things. Oh, I'll still talk about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, only in the sense of how they (He) have fit in my life and the lives of those around me.

I should start at the beginning of who I am, where I came from - but can't tell you much about where I'm going because the future has always been a mystery to me, especially about my OWN future. Heck, the present is a mystery to me most of the time.

I was born in Meade, Ks in 1957. The Year of Sputnik - the year the Space Race began. Huge changes on the horizon. Meade is a small farming community between Dodge City to the northeast and Liberal to the southwest. I don't remember much of Meade because we moved from there when I was 3 yrs old. The town's "claim to fame" is like many small communities - it has a singular event or singular person of note that they try to use to draw the out-of-towners that pass through on vacation.

Now, Meade had not a singular person to claim so much as persons - the famous Dalton gang had a hideout in the town. It is a nice, white wooden farm house with an escape tunnel whose entrance is in the pantry, You go down the tunnel to the barn, which the Dalton boys would have their horses all saddled and ready to run from the law.

Dalton Gang Hideout
Escape Tunnel
The tunnel (which tourists go down) leads to the barn, which the town folk have turned into a rather nice museum. Ironically, the Dalton gang started out as lawmen in Coffeyville, Ks and "went bad". And also, ironically, they met their demise in Coffeyviile trying to rob two banks at once. Not exactly the brightest move to make but greed does have a tendency to negate common sense.

But I digress. I said earlier, "We" moved out of Meade. We being, of course, my family. My Dad, Wesley, was a county engineer. He had his Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University. My Mom, Dolly, was an RN having her nursing degree from St. Francis College in Wichita, KS. Dee Ann was the oldest sibling, then Jana, me, and finally, Weldon. Yep, you probably have noticed the "W" tendency of how my brother and I were named. I never asked why. Should have. It has been a bit of a bugger in my life. One of those nagging things that never quite goes away. Our middle names (the males of our family) also began with a "W". In another post I'll expand on that.

But we moved from Meade (Meade County) to the other side of Dodge City to the county of Edwards, the county seat being Kinsley. Most of my childhood was in Kinsley. I loved that town. A nice community that was fairly prosperous, having two major Kansas highways coming from the east and northeast, intersecting and merging to head west towards Dodge City.

Kinsley's claim to fame as a small town? Midway USA -- halfway between New York City and San Francisco, California. They have a big sign just where the two highways meet, as well as a sod museum. There was also a train there - well, the locomotive and coal car behind it - sitting on a short set of rails. When I was growing up in the 1960s we kids could climb on it and play.

The museum is pretty nice, actually. Lots of historical artifacts from the pioneer days and the growth of Kinsley, Edwards County and the surrounding area.

But kids being kids we only really cared about the building to the east of the museum spot - the skating rink. A very important place for kids to get together and roll around and just go. You would think that would be boring but it wasn't. We had other things to do in that small town and I'll share what some of those things are later.

My next post will be a continuation of my life in Kinsley with stories of my friends, school, church, my brother and sisters - and how our lives were forever altered when our mother passed away in the mid-1960s. Another story, another time.

"May your days be many and your troubles be few. May all God's blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you may your heart be strong. May you find what you're seeking wherever you roam." ~ Old Irish blessing

Shout Out! Wake Up!

The Pharisees didn't get it. The Sadducees didn't get it either. Jesus' words to them weren't meant to be hateful but wakeful. He was going to die on the cross for them too. But the words remain as true now as they did then.
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former." Matthew 23:13-23

The words Jesus said were a shout out to the religious leaders to follow throughout the centuries up until now. But it's not just for religious leaders in the church. It's also for the religious leaders in the home.

Going to church once a week does not mean you are a Christian. Giving tithe and lots of money in the offering plate does not make you a Christian. Being able to quote copious amounts of Scripture and able to argue church doctrine does not mean you are a Christian either.

To be a Christian, you must be born again (because our first, fleshly birth is solely of this sinful earth) -- this is the first step. It means a changed heart. It means you love God more than yourself. And it means you love others more than anything else in this world.

Unfortunately, many people find it easier to love the stranger on the street than to love their own family. Spouses, children, siblings, parents - sometimes they are judged and condemned by the "Christian" at home and no one sees it outside the home.

BUT occasionally, it slips out. The hate, the jealousy, the hypocrisy - and when it is seen by others, it is a shock and a horrific witness for others concerning God.

Jesus weeps for families that hide their darkness inside their walls instead of letting Him in and dispelling the darkness with His light and love.

I am as guilty as any man when it comes to making mistakes, saying the wrong thing, hurting others family member's feelings - BUT I try to not only say, "I'm sorry, forgive me" but I turn to Christ and ask for the power to change and overcome my faults and failings. One thing I can say though, I have never gotten on facebook or any public forum and cursed my children or bring a personal family problem out into the public eye to show our dirty laundry. Family problems, issues and needs should be handled privately. I'm not talking about asking publicly for prayers concerning needs such as illness or a death in the family or even the stories about broken pipes and overeating or yelling about a football game. I'm talking about the nasty, mean spiteful things that people say to each other in private that spills out onto the keyboard and then on facebook.

If you call yourself a Christian and you do such things then you are a terrible witness for Jesus who died on the cross of Calvary.

The Alpha and the Omega
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8

It is appropriate that we begin this new year with a verse that adequately portrays the Lord of time and space. This Biblical portrait of Jesus Christ appears four times in the Bible and only in the book of Revelation. The title comes from the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet - alpha and omega.
As the Alpha, Christ is the source and giver of life. He is the spring from which the river of truth and grace flow.
As the Omega, He is the fulfillment of all our hopes and aspirations. Everything in life finds its answers in Him who is the first and last. In this self-designation, Christ vividly portrays Himself as the supreme "I Am." As the timeless I AM, Christ assures His people that He is the all-sufficient, ever-present, and always approachable Savior.
Implicit in this portrayal is the recognition that Christ is more than the Alpha and the Omega. He is also all the other letters of the alphabet! Jesus Christ the center and the circumference encircling all things: the past, present and future are under His control.
Thus, how appropriate to begin this new year with the powerful affirmation that all history centers on the One "Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." In this affirmation, we are reminded of Christ's radical breakthrough into human history, His full and complete salvation, His presence in our lives today, and the confident assurance that He is coming back soon as the indisputable Lord of the universe.

"From Jesus Christ has come every ray of heaven's brightness that has fallen upon the inhabitants of the earth. In the plan of redemption, Christ is the Alpha and the Omega - the First and the Last." - Patriarchs and Prophets
